Dr. Diana Lopez
Prosthodontist , DMD MSSc
Dr. Lopez dedicates herself to combining advanced training with genuine compassion for her patients. She studied Biomedical Engineering at UC Riverside, earned a master’s at UCLA, completed her D.M.D. at UNLV, and continued her advanced training at Harvard University, where she completed her Prosthodontics
residency along with a second master’s degree. Her extensive education reflects her commitment to excellence in restoring smiles with precision and care. Patients value her ability to connect with them, making appointments both thorough and comfortable through her talent for putting people at ease. Outside the office, Dr. Lopez serves as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, a role that highlights her discipline and leadership. She enjoys traveling and has explored much of North America, Western Europe, and Central America, with Asia next on her list. At home in Normal, she spends time with her husband and their Yorkie, Damian.
Dr. Cristian Sosa
General Dentist , DMD
Dr. Sosa is the dentist who treats you like family, the kind of family member who reminds you to floss but still makes you laugh about it. He earned his degree in Microbiology at UCLA, then his D.M.D. at UNLV, and continues to train in the latest techniques so visits are comfortable and efficient. Patients appreciate how he keeps things clear, light, and stress free. Having lived on both the West and East Coasts before settling in Bloomington, Dr. Sosa values the sense of community he has found here. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys biking the Constitution Trail and supporting local restaurants with his family. He is fluent in Spanish and might even share a family connection with the baseball player Sammy Sosa, but he prefers to leave it a mystery.

Front Desk
Angie is a dedicated Front Desk Administrator with more than 16 years of experience in administrative roles. After spending 13 years as an assistant, she transitioned to the front desk three years ago, where she continues to bring warmth, organization, and professionalism to every interaction. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment and supporting both staff and patients with care and efficiency. Known for her contagious smile, Angie helps set a positive tone the moment patients walk through the door. Outside of work, Angie enjoys spending quality time with her family and especially cherishes every moment with her grandson, who keeps her smiling and inspired every day.
Madeleine
Front Desk
Madeleine is a proud cat lover and a student at Heartland Community College, where she is furthering her education. She is passionate about providing excellent patient care and strives to make a positive impact on every patient she meets. Although she is new to the office, most would never know it. Madeleine is a quick learner who has adapted with ease and brings a positive energy to the team. Patients appreciate her warmth, attentiveness, and eagerness to make them feel comfortable. In her free time, Madeleine enjoys traveling, especially taking spontaneous road trips to discover new places and experiences
Ellie
Hygienist , RDH
Ellie is a 1994 graduate of Illinois Central College and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for more than 31 years. She lives in Normal with her husband Brad, a retired police officer who now works as a fire inspector. Together they are the proud parents of two sons: Brody, 18, and Levi, 15. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys reading, thrifting, browsing flea markets, and cheering on Levi at his cross country meets. She also has a unique hobby of collecting salt shakers, which has grown into an impressive collection over the years.
Julie
Hygienist , RDH
Julie and her husband, Brian, both grew up in Effingham, Illinois, before moving to Bloomington in 1990 with their three children: Jaime, Jenna, and Ryan. Today, her family continues to bring her joy. Jaime and her daughter, Maggie, live in Normal. Jenna, her husband, Gus, and their son, Auggie, live north of Houston, Texas. Ryan, his wife, Lindy, and their daughter, Trulee, live in Fisher, Illinois. Julie studied dental hygiene at Lakeland College in Mattoon, Illinois, and Brian worked at Mitsubishi until its closing in 2015. Family is everything to her, and much of her free time is spent enjoying activities with them. She also has a passion for baking, especially during the holiday season when she combines both loves. One of her favorite traditions is gathering with her family, now four generations strong, to spend an evening decorating mountains of sugar cookies.
Kim
Hygienist , RDH
Kim grew up in Champaign-Urbana and studied Dental Hygiene at Parkland College before moving to Bloomington. She has been a hygienist for 25 years and is known for being easy to talk to and genuinely kind, which helps patients feel comfortable and cared for. Kim has a daughter, now 31, who was a competitive gymnast. For more than two decades, Kim has also worked part time at the gym where her daughter trained. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her beloved dachshund, who is almost 18 years old.
Katie
Hygienist , RDH
Katie has been a registered dental hygienist since graduating from Parkland College in 2018 and has enjoyed caring for patients for the past seven years. She is passionate about helping people feel comfortable and confident about their smiles. In addition to her role as a hygienist, Katie is the office’s Zoom whitening specialist and official photographer, keeping everyone’s smiles looking fresh both in and out of the chair. Outside of work, Katie enjoys photography and spending time with her husband and their son, Rhett.
Erin
Hygienist , RDH
Erin began her career in dentistry as an assistant in 2005 before continuing her education at Lakeland Community College, where she graduated in 2009 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Since then, she has enjoyed building lasting relationships with patients and helping them feel confident about their smiles.
Outside of the office, Erin, her husband, and their two sons live on a farm where they raise cattle. Much of their family time is spent caring for the animals and traveling to cattle shows together. Erin also enjoys the hunt for hidden treasures at antique auctions and flea markets, where she can often be found exploring for unique finds.
Hiram

Hiram grew up in Bloomington and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Parkland College in 2019. Patients often notice how naturally he connects with people. Whether meeting someone for the first time or catching up at a return visit, Hiram has a gift for making conversations feel like those between lifelong friends. He has a way of knowing just about everyone in town, which helps patients feel comfortable and at ease in the chair. Outside of work, Hiram enjoys staying active with volleyball and pickleball. He is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for learning new languages, currently exploring ASL, French, and Italian. His love of communication and connection shines through both in and out of the office.

Lena Reiter is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 15 years of clinical experience who now serves as a clinical instructor in Parkland College’s Dental Hygiene Program. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Organizational Leadership, aiming to broaden her impact in both education and healthcare leadership. Passionate about mentoring future hygienists, Lena also dedicates time to volunteering in community and international dental clinics. She hopes to expand this work further by partnering with global organizations to help increase access to care. Outside of her professional life, Lena enjoys cooking and entertaining with flavors from around the world. Travel continues to inspire her, with Morocco standing out as one of her favorite destinations. At home, she loves spending time with her three children and their Persian cat, Judy, who proudly rules the household.

Kathy has been a dental assistant for 14 years and brings both experience and compassion to her role. She and her husband, a geology professor at Illinois State University, have three grown children. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys watching football and is a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. She is also a true music and sports connoisseur with a diverse and ever-expanding taste in music. From discovering new artists to revisiting timeless favorites, she loves exploring different genres and sharing her passion with others. Her enthusiasm for both music and sports often sparks great conversations with patients and colleagues alike.

Laurie is a married mother of two adult children and shares her home with her dog, Lily, and cat, Penny. She is passionate about animals and wildlife and enjoys spending her free time planting flowers, landscaping, and working in the yard. Known as a natural conversationalist, Laurie can strike up a conversation with anyone, helping patients feel welcome and at ease. With her background in nursing, she brings both compassion and skill to her role, ensuring every patient is well cared for.

Isabel is new to the dental field and originally from Chicago. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair and looks forward to growing her career by pursuing dental hygiene school in the future. Isabel loves learning new skills each day and brings positive energy to the office. Outside of work, she is a self-proclaimed foodie and is always excited to hear new restaurant or recipe recommendations.
Tyra

Tyra is new to the dental field and enjoys learning something new every day from both her team and the patients she serves. Her favorite part of assisting is getting to know each patient and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit. With her calm demeanor, she has a natural ability to put even the most anxious patients at ease. Outside of work, Tyra’s love for animals shines through, and she always enjoys when patients share pictures or stories of their pets.
Damian
Official Team Mascot
Damian is Dr. Lopez’s beloved Yorkie and an important part of the family. He is currently “working from home” while he completes his emotional support training, which will prepare him for more frequent visits to the office. Damian is also quite the talker, and when he stops by the office, you’ll know it. Patients can look forward to seeing more of him once he officially earns his role as an in-office emotional support companion.
